THE CHOIR
Exists to share the pleasure of music making. It aims to achieve this by providing its members with opportunities to learn and perform choral works to a high standard. It was started twenty years ago and has a membership of eighty plus mixed voices. A balance of standard repertoire and less well known work is rehearsed in a hardworking and happy atmosphere under the current direction of professional Music Director, Bryan Gipps.
It aims to provide its members with enjoyable rehearsals that move the emotions by that choral experience.
A professional accompanist, Martyn Williams rehearses with us.
Professional Soloists and orchestral musicians are also employed.
Two major concerts a year are performed and workshops, carol concerts and charitable functions are undertaken.
