SVCS exists to share the pleasure of music making, and aims to achieve this by providing its members with opportunities to learn and perform choral works to a high standard. It has a membership of over eighty, mixed voices. A balance of standard repertoire and less well known works is rehearsed in a happy and hardworking atmosphere under the current direction of professional Music Director Bryan Gipps. It aims to provide its members with enjoyable rehearsals that move the emotions by that experience. Professional soloists and orchestral musicians are employed. A professional musician Martyn Williams, is our regular rehearsal pianist. At least two major concerts a year are performed. Workshops, carol concerts and charitable functions are undertaken. We also have a number of social functions each year.

WHERE
We rehearse in the Music department of Sutton Valence School on Monday evenings during term time at 7.45pm. We are indebted to the school for this use.
Concerts are routinely performed in All Saints’ Church, Maidstone.
