OUR CHOSEN CHARITY FOR 2010

Each year the Choral Society supports a variety of charities.  In 2008/9 we helped raise over £1000 for the Mayor of Maidstone’s Fund http://www.maidstone.gov.uk/your_council/the_mayor/mayors_charities.aspx and the Kent Air Ambulance Trust  http://www.kentairambulance.co.uk/

Further details of the work they do can be found by clicking on the website links.

2009/10 We are supporting Demelza House the Children’s Hospice Charity , which has been providing vital care and support to terminally ill children and their families for over 10 years.

Fundraising began in 1994 and in September 1998 Demelza House set in 6 acre of land in Bobbing near Sittingbourne opened its doors to its first family.

Demelza South East London provides a six bedded children’s hospice. Over 750 children in south East London are estimated to be affected by life limiting conditions and require residential care, hospice at home care, therapy sessions, end of life care and bereavement services.

If you want to make a donation, you can go straight to the website http://www.demelza.org.uk/ or come to our concerts and donate there.

Please help us raise as much money as we can over the coming year.  Thank you.
