Come and Sing!!!!
Please join us at All Saints’ Church, Ulcombe on Saturday 11th October 2008 to rehearse and then give an informal performance of Handel’s Messiah. We will be led by Clifford Lister. Clifford commenced his musical education as a chorister at Winchester Cathedral, later winning a Choral Scholarship to The King's School, Canterbury, and subsequently studying singing with Kenneth Bowen at The Royal Academy of Music. Whilst at the Royal Academy of music he was a lay-clerk at Canterbury Cathedral, later joining Westminster Cathedral, from where he retired in November 2007. Clifford also enjoys a varied career as a soloist, recitalist, and consort singer with Cappella Nova and has frequently been engaged as soloist for Sutton Valence Choral Society.
The itinerary for the afternoon is set out below – please keep this for you information and return the tear off slip, with payment, to me at Chegworth Manor Farm, Chegworth Road, Harrietsham, Kent, ME17 1DD (01622 853791 if further information required). It is an informal concert in the evening and audience tickets are available either from me or on the door at £4.00 each. Performers dress is casual. Music will be provided, but if you wish to bring your own we are using Watkins Shaw edition.
